When a Chrysler public relations person asked me if I'd consider looking at a 2013 Dodge Dart for this series, let's just say I was, um, a little resistant. My impression of the Dart line came from the 1970s, when it was shoddy, less than attractive and not something you'd associate with cutting edge. But I didn't want to let personal issues keep me from automotive enlightenment – after all, the Dart I knew was 35 years old – so I accepted the challenge.
And boy, am I glad I did.
